Our Mission
The Catholic Media Association (TCMA) mobilizes the resources of the new technologies for the New Evangelization.
We educate, equip, organize, mobilize and serve our members by networking them together in an association which promotes solidarity, fosters fidelity, leverages influence, provides benefits and promotes the use of the new integrated media to infuse the culture with the values informed by Catholic faith.
The Catholic Media Association will provide increasing levels of benefits and opportunities for professional growth to its members.
Mobilize Our Mission
The Catholic Media Association will assist, equip, and support our members in
- demonstrating proficiency equal to and beyond others in the field;
- influencing their proper use of the new media morally and ethically,
- connecting the various forms of media as a means of Evangelization.
This will happen through a variety of association opportunities:
MEDIAtions – Our Communications Journal
TCMA will offer a subscription based Online Magazine – MEDIAtions, which will keep you abreast of the latest in technology and their influence upon the Church and her mission in the real world. This online magazine will not only report on the new technologies but reflect the new technologies by allowing interactive response.
Conferences – National, Regional, Media-specific, Online
Our Annual TCMA Conference will feature the top communicators in the world coming together to share their insights and participate in vision-casting for the years ahead. Through our general sessions and integrated workshops, members will have an opportunity not just to hear about communications history but to make it.
Our sponsored Regional and Media-specific conferences will also be periodically offered around the country.
These geographic conferences will be only one of many ways TCMA with gather for learning. Our Webinars and Internet-based learning options will become the mainstay for much of the dissemination of information and education for members.
Certification
TCMA offers a certification program for the “new” technologies. Through a series of continuing education and practical experience, members of TCMA can become a “Certified Religious Media Specialist” (CRMS). The certification will be a sign of expertise in the field of media and a seal of quality.
